TEACHING FOR THE DAY
1I only ask and take from him whom the God points out.
2If wealth is used only for personal enjoyment, it is wasted.
3I always think of him who remembers Me.
4I run and manifest Myself to the one who lovingly calls Me.
5I would never be untrue to My words.
6I am sitting here ready to give you the whole of My knowledge. Then why should you go elsewhere?
7I draw My men to Me from far off or even across seven seas, like a sparrow with a string fastened to its feet.
8You should be blessed when you will renounce all attachments, conquer lust and serve God.
9I feel indebted to him who surrenders completely to Me and forever remembers Me.
10I am dependent on him who does not eat without first offering it to Me. If you practise this, you will attain oneness with Me.
11See the Divine in human beings.
12His remembrance drives aways sins, afflications and distress.
13Remove Agyana (ignorance), what remains will be Perfect Gyana (enlightenment).
14If anyone utters ten words at us, let us answer with one word, if we reply at all.
15Remember Him lovingly. He will come to your rescue in the time of trouble.
16If profit comes, they rejoice. If loss comes they weep. Why? Why say "This is mine"? What does it mean?.
17I am Myself a devotee of God though people worship Me. I remember God.
18I say things here. There they happen.
19If others hate us, let us simply take to "naamjapa" and avoid them.
20If you avoid rivalry and bickering, God will protect you.
21If you have noting to give say politely. Do not mock or ridicule, nor get angry with others.
22I do not expect anything from devotees but remembrance, faith and devotion.
23I have to give an account of every action of yours to God.
24I will not forget you. I will always remember you even if you are miles away.
25I live with everyone. All are mine.
26It is all God's play. He Himself cures. Why should we be anxious?
27Holy company is the most perfect means of purification.
28Detach yourself from passions and desires, or else they will enslave you.
29If wealthy, be humble.
30Think always "Whom am I?"

Allah Is Sole Protector Says Shirdi Sai Baba

Allah Is Sole Protector Says Shirdi Sai Baba
In the year 1910, on recommendation of Darvesh Shah, Chhote Khan went in Sai Baba's refuge. On his first visit to Shirdi, Sai Baba was standing in a lane and a lady bowed to His Holy Feet. Chhote Khan, on seeing Baba, went behind Him, stood there and started reciting First chapter of Kuran as per instruction of Dervesh Shah. As soon as Chhote Khan said, "Bismillah" then Baba turned back and angrily said, "Who are you? Are you My Father who has come to inquire about Me?" Baba then abused and scolded him much. Baba did not allow him to enter Dwarkamai, so Chhote Khan sat outside Dwarkamai.

When Baba did not allow Chhote Khan to enter Masjid, Kaka Saheb Dixit and other devotees took Chhote Khan's side and approached Sai Baba on their own accord, "Baba why are You angry with Chhote Khan, we all are Your kids." Baba answered, "You call him a kid, he beat a master and killed him". Baba's words fitted well with an incident which happened with Chhote Khan. He was serving as a trooper in Nizam in the office of Mamlatdar. During police inquiry, he beat a master rudely because he did not reveal full information. The master then fell to ground in unconscious state with his mouth bleeding profusely. Thus mamlatdar asked Khan to resign, leave job and go away elsewhere. Fearing future inquiry on him, he left his job. Thenafter Khan went to Darvesh Shah from where he was destined to be received by Sai Baba with abuses. Sai Baba, knowing this incident, got angry with Khan and prohibited his entry in Masjid.

After few days, Baba opened Dwarkamai's door for Khan when he went to Dwarkamai with Kasim, Jog and Kakasaheb Dixit. Baba blessed him saying, "Don't fear, Allah is Sole Protector. There will be no inquiry on you". Khan then, passed two months in Shirdi.

Khan wanted Baba to advice him on pending case of land dispute. Baba adviced him, "You go without any worry. The dispute will be settled in your favour". The dispute was for acquiring a land which was in the name of Khan's mother-in-law (given to her by her mother-in-law). The dispute, as said by Baba was settled in Khan's favour and he got possession of that land.

Sai Baba Transfers His Special Power

Sai Baba Transfers His Special Power

Kusha Bhave is a name, which has remained hidden in pages of history with reference to life stories and details of closest devotees of Sai Baba. It was practice of Sai Baba of Shirdi to give nicknames to His devotees in accordance with their nature or physical characteristics. Devotees who got such names as a blessing from Sai Baba, accepted the names and were addressed thus thenafter. Kusha Bhave is one such name given to a devotee who has originally named as 'Krishnaji Kashinath Joshi'. Being one of the gems of the court of Sai Baba let us now see few astonishing facts about his life and even more how he was blessed by Sai Baba with a special power of re-producing Udi.

Krishnaji Joshi was born in a village named 'Mirja' about 70 miles away from Ahmednagar to Kashinath Padmakar Joshi in the year 1866. Belonging to a poor family, after completing his schooling, he served as a teacher in a small school of his village with a monthly compensation of Rs. 5-6. He even did poojas, by learning their family worship. But he was not interested in spirituality. Thus he made Dutta Maharaj his Guru and learnt occult powers and started practicing them. To use and practice physic and occult powers, Kusha Bhave had to wear a thick iron bangle.

Till 1888, i.e. at an age of 22, Kusha Bhave had possessed almost all physic and occult powers. At the same time, his guru decided to go to Himalayas and attain Samadhi there. Kusha Bhave accompanied his guru till Delhi. In the moment of separation, Shirdi Sai Baba was introduced to Kusha Bhave by his own guru and was adviced to abide by His teachings and follow them thenafter. In a note, the guru addressed Sai Baba as his elder brother, "Majha Vadil Bhaau".

After 20 years of the above mentioned incident when Kusha Bhave went to Shirdi, Sai Baba welcomed him with these words, "Take off and throw away your iron bangles. You will be granted entry only upon doing this". Sai Baba's words were Kusha Bhave's immediate actions. He immediately parted off with the so-called bangles (and also occult powers). As Kusha Bhave came to Shirdi with empty pockets he had to liave by begging alms in Shirdi. He was entrusted the duty of reading 'Das Bodh' composed by Ramdas Swami by sitting in a corner of Dwarkamai. Wherever little space he found, it would be his bed stead. Though always ready to take Sai Baba's orders and acting on them, Baba till then did not give him any updesh or mantra.

At suitable times, Baba took every possible care to show way to Kusha Bhave and ensured his spiritual upliftment. In fact, Kusha Bhave was advised to leave off physic and occult powers. Here is an interesting incident which took place on Ekadashi day and following conversation took place.

Baba: What do you eat on Ekadashi?
Kusha: Nothing as it is Ekadashi.
Baba: What is the meaning of Ekadashi?
Kusha: Fasting day.
Baba: What is 'Fast'?
Kusha: As it is Roja.
Baba: What is Roja?
Kusha: We keep fast and that means that we do not eat anything except sweet potato.
Baba: Oh, you eat onion now. Take this and eat it.

Baba repeatedly pressed Kusha to eat onion and trying to escape the situation, Kusha said, "Baba, if you eat this onion, I will eat it". Baba readily ate onion and so was done by Kusha. Meanwhile some devotees turned up in Dwarkamai. Baba thought of playing prank.

Baba: See, Bamaniya (a word 'Brahmin' used in distorted way), he is eating onion on Ekadashi day.
Kusha (giving explaination): Onions were eaten by both Baba and me.
Baba: No, I have eaten sweet potato, see, see!

Saying so, Baba vomited and sweet potatoes were visible in the vomit. Within no time, considering Baba's vomit as prasad, Kusha placed sweet potatoes in his mouth.
Baba, simultaneously beating and scolding Kusha, said, "Have you gone mad, why did you eat my vomit?" But was Kusha to listen to Baba's scolding or pay any attention to Baba's scolding? It was a blessing to him in disguise. Even Baba's heart melted like wax. Baba placed His boon bestowing Hand on Kusha's head and said, "I give you a blessing. Meditate on me and open your fist, you will receive prasad. Whenever you act so, Dwarkamai's Udi will be present in your hand on its own. Distribute this Udi among the devotees. They will be benefitted and you will get its boon".

After downloading the folder, 'right click' it and select 'Extract to 05May' to unzip all the pictures.

TEACHING FOR THE DAY
1It is My desire that I always take care of the welfare of those devotees who worship Me wholeheartedly.
2He who wants to get freedom from the cycle of birth and death, should lead a righteous life.
3He who rests in the shade of Dwarkamai attains bliss.
4I have never neglected My devotees. I, the slave of My devotees, have always stood by them, and longed for their love.
5The self-realised person is the emancipated one. He is in the world, but not of it.
6If you always say "Sai, Sai", I shall take you over the seven seas.
7The desire to serve Sai will render the devotee desireless, for ever.
8I rest where there is full devotion.
9If you do not like to part with what you have, do not say that you have nothing. Decline politely.
10It is only in the purified mind that viveka and vairagya grows and leads one to self-realisation.
11If there be even a little trace of greed in mind, all the Sadhnas (spiritual endeavours) are of no avail.
12It is better for one to take only what he can digest and assimilate.
13If you listen to me carefully, you will benefit. Sitting in this Masjid, I never speak the untruth.
14If you practise meditation continously, vrittis (thoughts) will be purified.
15If you cannot meditate on My formless nature, meditate on My form.
16If someone comes to you, do not drive him away. Receive him well and treat with respect.
17If anybody wants money and you are not inclined to give decline politely.
18If you always tolerate hatred, you will certainly be happy.
19It is on account of former relationship that we are together. Let us love, serve each other and be happy.
20I am omnipresent, occupying land, air, light and heaven and am not limited.
21If any devotee mediates on Me with complete self-surrender, he shall experience complete union with Me.
22It is impossible to describe all My ways and measures.
23If you want to see My light, be egoless and humble, and meditate on Me.
24If once a person sits in Dwarkamai; all his troubles shall come to an end.
25I gave this (Vishnu Sahasranama) book to you, read it daily, slowly, little by little, and it will do you good.
26If you chant mantras daily, your mind will attain peace and you will be immensely benefitted.
27I require no door to enter, I have no form nor any shape; I always live everywhere.
28I am the controller of all the actions of a man who trusts Me and merges in Me.
29One who worships Sai is always filled with pure joy as Sai is a mine of self-knowledge.
30The Lord is the Sole Doer and Inspirer.
31If I take one rupee as dakshina from anybody, I will return tenfold to him.
